The company has current net oil production of circa 100,000 barrels per year with an ongoing development program for its booked 3 million barrels of 2P conventional oil reserves. An active exploration program is also in progress to address the extensive resource potential of the company's permits (conventional oil and coal seam gas).
Bridgeport's petroleum assets are concentrated in the southwest region of Queensland where prolific quantities of oil and gas have been produced from conventional sandstone reservoirs within the Eromanga Basin. Bridgeport now operates the Utopia and Inland oil fields as well as two exploration permits in the Basin's hydrocarbon fairway. The Company also holds minority interests in oil production from numerous oil fields that are operated by Santos Limited and Beach Energy.
Bridgeport's two exploration permits in the Eromanga Basin have exciting conventional and coal seam gas (CSG) resource upside. The potential of these areas is currently being investigated by our technical team. Our current view is the Company's exploration areas could hold substantial petroleum resources with the capacity, through cost effective exploration and appraisal, to transform Bridgeport into a much larger energy company.
