Pat brings to Bridgeport over 30 years of international financial services experience. Pat was appointed a director of Vantage Private Equity Growth Limited in 2005. He was an Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Westpac Banking Corporation, Chairman and CEO of Country Savings Bank (USA), Chief Financial Officer of BancOne Corporation (USA), Chairman of Calliva Group Holdings Pty Ltd and a director of Suncorp-Metway Limited, AMP Limited (2003 to 2004) and HHG plc. In addition, Pat is currently a strategic adviser to PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Chairman of One Capital Pty Ltd and CEO of 2020 Funds Management Ltd.
Michael has more than 20 years experience in the areas of capital-raising, corporate, commercial, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions and securities. He is a consultant to and former partner of the international law firm Deacons (Nortons) predominantly consulting on mining, resources and oil and gas law. His current directorships include Archipelago Resources PLC, Archipelago Metals Limited, Cloncurry Metals Limited, New Guinea Energy Limited, Nexus Energy Limited, NRW Holdings Limited and Queensland Energy Resources Limited. Previously Mr Arnett held the position of chairman for Anzon Energy Limited and was a director of Anzon Australia Limited.
Chris has over 28 years experience in worldwide oil and gas upstream operations, production and drilling, offshore and onshore, most recently as General Manager Operations, Roc Oil Company Limited.
Key achievements include leading technical and operations teams at various phases from exploration to development, including setup of producing operations, on significant upstream oil & gas projects throughout the world. Projects include North Ben Nevis, Chebucto, Kupe South, Esso Bass Strait, Patricia Baleen, Maari, Cliff Head, onshore Otway Basin and the Saltfleetby gas field (UK). Operating areas of expertise include Australia, New Zealand, West Africa, onshore UK, Canada, China, India and Asia.
Formerly General Manager Operations with ROC Oil Company and, Offshore Operations Manager with Cultus Petroleum, Chris has held senior positions with Oil Search, Ampolex, Esso, Trans Canada Pipeline and Husky Oil. Chris is a 25 year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia. He holds degrees in Geology (Acadia University) and Mechanical Engineering (Technical University of Nova Scotia).
Vincent is currently the Chief Investment Officer of 2020 Fund Management Ltd, a boutique fund management and distribution company based in Syndey.
Vincent is a highly experienced trading and portfolio manager with over 17 years experience in the Australian and Asian markets. He has held senior positions at several financial organisations including Managing Director and Head of Liquid Market Trading for Lehman Brothers (Australia), Deputy Treasurer and General Manager of Trading and Products at the Global Markets & Treasury division of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia ("CBA"), General Manager of Markets Division for Shinsei Bank in Tokyo, Japan and Head of Asset & Liability Management as well as Management Science Group at Westpac.
Vincent has had extensive experience trading fixed income, equities, credit, commodity and foreign exchange. In the past 3 years, Vincent has been involved extensively in the private equity sector.
Mr Leon is a French national with over 30 years of experience in business and government administration.
From 2002 until the merger with ROC, Mr Leon was a non-executive Director of Anzon Energy Limited and from 2006 until the successful takeover by ROC, he was a non-executive Director of Anzon Australia Limited. Mr Leon is also a director of the Mandarin Oriental Group of Hotels.
In 1996, Mr Leon co-founded Qualis, a diversified industrial group based in France of which he is a co-manager. He was Chief Executive Officer of Arnault Group between 1986-1997, during which time he managed numerous strategic acquisitions, disposals and financial transactions.
Prior to a career in business, Mr Leon held several positions in the French government administration. He is a graduate of Ecole Nationale d'Administration in France.
Mr Neale has more than 40 years experience in the mining and exploration industries covering coal, base metals, gold, synthetic fuels, bulk materials shipping, and power generation. He joined New Hope in 1996 as General Manager, and has been Chief Executive Officer since 2005. He was appointed to the board in November 2008.

Tony brings a broad base of corporate and financial experience to Bridgeport having focused on financial management, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence assignments and both private and public capital raisings.
Tony was formerly Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for the Anzon Group where he oversaw the growth of the company to in excess of $700 million market capitalisation. During this period Tony was responsible for the financial management and strategic direction of the Group from a financial perspective, including initiating and managing the company's listings on both the ASX and AIM stock exchanges, as well as managing significant M&A corporate activity, resulting in the takeover of the Group in October 2008 by Roc Oil.
Prior to this, Tony held senior executive positions in taxation and corporate finance divisions at Arthur Andersen and Coopers & Lybrand. He has also worked with various boutique corporate advisory firms in Sydney, Australia and is currently a non- executive Director of Elk Petroleum Limited.
Tony is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW, (Sydney).
Management
Peter Southwell (Manager - Exploration and Subsurface)
Peter has over 30 years petroleum exploration experience ranging from frontier basin exploration to appraisal and development within Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea working with operating oil companies including Esso Australia, Santos, BHP Petroleum, Cultus Petroleum and Oil Search.
Peter is a proven oil finder with extensive geo-science expertise in onshore and offshore (shallow and deep water blocks) in a large variety of structural and sedimentary environments. He was instrumental in discovery/appraisal of the recently developed Maari Oil field (Taranaki Basin - offshore New Zealand) with reserves of more than 50MMBBLS.
Peter's strengths include setting exploration strategy, implementation and management of diverse and comprehensive exploration programmes, from acreage assessment and prospect delineation to drilling appraisal and development. He supports and supervises the reservoir engineering requirements of the company.
A B.Sc. (Hons), Geology/Geophysics graduate from Liverpool University, Peter presently has professional affiliations with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Exploration Geologists and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia.
Wally Westman (Manager - Drilling and Production)
Wally has over 30 years worldwide drilling and completion management experience, currently in the capacity of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Australian Drilling Services; a company which owns drilling rigs, supplies and trains supervisory personnel and runs blowout prevention courses.
Wally has worked for Exxon Mobil, Zapata Offshore, Santos and numerous independent operators as senior drilling supervisor and rig specialist. During this time he has been responsible for offshore rigs (drillships, jackups, semisubs and platforms) and onshore operations based in Africa, North Sea, Asia and throughout Australia. Career highlights include his role as Drilling Supervisor for AGL at Mereenie where he cut the drilling time and reduced the costs by half while increasing production. The use of air hammers to drill dense sedimentary rock was pioneered on these challenging programs which, under Wally's supervision, were notably completely devoid of incident or equipment damage. Following this assignment, Wally managed work in the Dingo and Palm Valley fields for Magellan Petroleum, and at Magee for Pacific Oil and Gas. He later returned to Mereenie at the request of Santos and supervised the last three drilling programs.
Wally has extensive producing experience in the Roma oilfields and North Sea and supports and supervises Bridgeport's drilling and producing operations requirements. He has completed numerous certified safety courses and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Brad Stout (Manager - Well Construction)
Brad who has over 15 years well design and engineering experience throughout Australasia is currently Managing Director for Aztech Well Construction.
He has worked in senior engineering positions with Ampolex, Mobil, BP, Apache, Chevron and other independent oil companies such as Roc Oil. He has been responsible for key well construction design and execution on development projects (both Greenfield and Brownfield) such as Wandoo, Arun, Stag, Gypsy, Tangguh LNG and recently the Basker Manta Gummy project.
Brad supports Bridgeport's well design and construction requirements. He holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of NSW (Sydney) and has undertaken numerous additional drilling and safety training courses.
Shaun Hingerty (Operations Manager)
Shaun is responsible for Bridgeport's current operations including production and overall field development. He is a competent and skilled engineer with 14 years experience in the petroleum industry with proficiency in assorted field/rig operations. He has held key managerial and engineering positions for Halliburton and Roc Oil operating in many overseas locations including the United Kingdom, Angola, China, Australia and Equatorial Guinea.
Shaun has accrued experience supervising large workforces (over 200 people) and coordinated drilling operations and emergency responses. He owns a skill base in knowledge management and has the proven capacity to meet budget requirements whilst managing associated risks.
Holding a Masters of Petroleum Engineering from the University of NSW (Sydney), Shaun also has professional affiliations with the Institute of Engineers Australia, the Society of Petroleum of Engineers and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia.
Barry Smith (Manager - New Business Development)
Barry Smith trained as a petroleum geophysicist and has worked as an asset and new venture manager and managing director for more than 30 years in the petroleum industry. He has worked on petroleum projects in Australia and overseas, including the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and North Africa.
He has been actively involved in the conduct of exploration, appraisal and development programs and the assessment of acreage and corporate new business opportunities with active operating companies. While having worked in Australia for most of his professional career, he was also based in Edinburgh, UK for several years, managing petroleum projects in South Asia for Cairn Energy.
He was also the technical services manager for that company. Barry was Orion Petroleum's founding Managing Director, where he also managed the company's conventional petroleum and coal seam gas assets. He currently runs an exploration management and new ventures consultancy in Sydney and is presently working for Bridgeport Energy as Manager New Business Development.
